Kristen Stewart is rumored to be the top choice for the sequel to Wanted, taking over Angelina Jolie's female lead role.
OK! NEWS: K-STEW ROCKS THE COVER OF FLAUNT
According to E! News sources, the studio and director have an interest in making Kristen the lead in film starring opposite James McAvoy. While details are still pretty scarce, Stewart's character would be a young, ass-kicking assassin in the Fraternity.
However, Angelina's role in the film is still in question.
(SPOILER ALERT!)
Though her character died in the first film, director Timur Bekmambetov told MTV News he'd bring her back in some form in the sequel.
That further gets complicated, however, by the reports that Angelina has backed out of the film perhaps due to issues with money. But she could make a cameo.

According to an E! News insider, Kristen was asked to play the female lead in the new film and met at least once with Bekmambetov.
But, sources say the chances don't look good that Kristen will play the part.
A production date has not been set for Breaking Dawn making it difficult for Kristen, and other Twilight actors, to schedule other projects.
For now it seems Bekmambetov is looking at other projects due to the scheduling conflict.
But there's still hope that it could all work out.
