NEWSKym Johnson's 'DWTS' Diary: Hines Shines During Last Night's Premiere!

Hi, everyone, and welcome to my OK! blog! Every week, I’ll be sharing with you all the behind the scenes stories as I train NFL wide receiver Hines Ward for this season’s Dancing With the Stars, trying to make the Pittsburgh Steelers pro look as cool in the ballroom as he does on football field for season 12!
Last night was the big premiere of Dancing With the Stars! Hines is adorable, we really had so much fun. It was nerve-wracking, I have to say, I was really nervous, but like, good nerves, and Hines was nervous just before. But he had so much fun, the audience seemed to be really with us from the start of our routine, which was great. I think it's good that the first one's done and now he knows what to expect. For all the celebrities, last night was the hardest because you don't know what to expect at all, it's so different with the live audience and the band and the judges. So now the know what to expect, and it'll get a bit easier.

The whole day was great, it's a very long day. I was there at 7:45 in the morning, so we're there all day. It's great, because it is a long day, but we all have lunch together, you get to know all the other celebrities — of course, us dancers, we all know each other and are friends — but all the celebrities get to know each other and talk. It does become like a family because you're spending so much time together.

Of course, watching everyone dance was fun as well! I loved Kirstie Alley, I thought she was such a surprise and she is so fantastic. Ralph Macchio of course, is the leader of the pack. He was so good, him and Karina Smirnoff. And Mark Ballas and Chelsea Kane I thought were great. It's going to be a really great competition!
We went out afterward but didn't get too crazy, since we knew we'd all be rehearsing today. But it was nice, yesterday, after the show and everyone was there, and we all bonded. Everyone talked about how they thought night was. Some of us went to Sur, and I was so excited because I'm a big fan of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Lisa VanderPump, who owns Sur, is my favorite! Karina and I took a photo with her. She's very classy, I was shocked to see her so that was an added bonus to yesterday! Hines was like, "What are you doing?" I was like, "You don't understand, she's the best housewife!" So I think Hines got to see a little bit of crazy Kim last night!
I have to say, Petra Nemcova is the nicest woman! She's just so lovely. I think she's my girl crush! She's seriously, so lovely and so nice. She's the most gorgeous girl ever. All these guys have got man crushes, she's my girl crush! I told her that last night, she's really such a nice person as well.
It's such a fun cast this season, everyone is really really getting along, and everyone is really lovely! everyone is really lovely. Last night was just so much fun, but I don't think that'll happen every week, it would be exhausting because we have hard work to do. It was good though, for everyone to just go and have a bit of fun after the first show.
