Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott has wedding fever now that Miranda Lambert is set to tie the knot this weekend, and fellow country stars Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler have recently made it legal.

Although she’s not engaged to drummer boyfriend Chris Tyrrell (yet!), the Need You Now songstress has done some serious thinking about her big day.

During the SESAC New York Music Awards held Wednesday at the IAC Building, Hillary confesses to me that “beautiful, romantic” Nice, France, would be the perfect location for her honeymoon.

“Love life is wonderful,” she gushes. “No wedding bells anytime soon, but he is amazing. I’m a lucky girl.”

For his part, Chris is making all the right moves, and fits in with her family and Lady Antebellum bandmates Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood.

“Oh, better than me most days,” she laughs of how he gets along with everyone. “My family loves him. My little sister, to quote her, goes ‘if I were you, I would date him!’ And she’s 10, so I think she approves. And then the boys are like the big brothers I never had, Charles and Dave, and they approve, too. So far, so good! “

One thing Hillary could use is a handyman in boyfriend Chris. Since she takes home the Song of the Year award for penning Need You Now, space is increasingly becoming an issue. (Nearly every time I see her, the trio is carrying a handful of awards between the CMAs, the ACMS, the Grammys - it's hilarious!)

“I mean, honestly, it’s the most overwhelming thing,” she says of what she’ll do with another award. “I’m trying to figure out where to put shelves in my house, because the way my house is laid out, it’s wide open. There isn’t a room that’s appropriate.”

Lucky friends and family benefit from the organizational issue.

“For some of the awards that we’ve been given, my mom has a couple of them, and dear, close friends of my family are foster parents for others, because I don’t have room. I’ll have to see who I want to foster parent this award!”

Hillary’s parents are on hand to watch their daughter’s big win. I met her mom, Linda Davis, for the first time this week at the Mint Jubilee Celebration in Louisville the evening before the Kentucky Derby.

“She’s a hoot, isn’t she?” Hillary laughs.

Indeed.

“I’m just a little proud,” Linda tells me of her Lady Antebellum superstar daughter Hillary. “Do you want me to pull out the pictures? Thank you, and I’ve got two, actually, Hillary and Riley Jean.”
