NEWSLiLo Court Watch: Michael Lohan Begs No Jail Time For Lindsay

Michael Lohan is on a mission — as usual — to get his daughter into rehab, not jail. The concerned father begs Judge Marsha Revel not to send Lindsay Lohan to the slammer; however, he does want her kept under the tight surveillance of the SCRAM and inpatient rehab.
Michael's lawyer, Lisa Bloom, sent the letter — obtained by TMZ — asking the judge to make sure Lindsay's prescription drug use is carefully monitored.
"Michael desperately wants to avoid seeing his daughter become the next Hollywood statistic," Bloom states in the letter.
Bloom continues, stating that Lindsay's 84 minutes in jail following her DUI conviction in 2007 made L.A. County a "laughingstock of our criminal justice system."
Bloom adds in the letter that with the realities of jail overcrowding, the slammer is no place for someone like Lindsay and her probation violation.
Where Bloom and Michael do want to see Lindsay is inpatient rehab, something Michael has been preaching for months, claiming he has already chosen a private facility in New York for his daughter.

If the judge does not find Lindsay in violation of her probation, Bloom asks that the ruling indicate the SCRAM remains on Lindsay's person.
The trial is set to begin again at 4:30 EST.
