Dina Lohan did not have to be present at Lindsay Lohan's hearing Tuesday, to feel the utter shock and pain as she watched in disbelief as Judge Marsha Revel sentenced her daughter to 90 days in jail for violating her probation stemming from her DUI back in 2007.

"This is so not fair to do this to my child," a shocked Dina told PopEater shortly after the sentencing.

The 24-year-old actress is summoned to surrender in court on July 20; however, officials at the sheriff department have explained that is is highly unlikely LiLo will server the entire 90 days behind bars — she will probably only serve a small fraction of the time, anywhere from 23 to 25 days.

While Dina wasn't present in the Beverly Hill courtroom, Lindsay's father Michael Lohan and his attorney Lisa Bloom were (not surprisingly) at the hearing and even drafted a letter to the judge asking not to send Lindsay to jail, but to an inpatient rehab facility.

Unfortunately for the starlet, she was sentenced to both as Judge Revel tacked on a 90-day stay at an inpatient rehab along with the slammer to her sentence.

Michael shared his thoughts on the sentencing with Larry King on CNN's Larry King Live Tuesday night, explaining he felt "dismay" over the jail sentence, “But at the same time, a little satisfaction that she’s going to a rehab. But the last thing in the world I wanted was for my daughter to go to jail.”

“Any kind of jail is harsh, especially for a young lady like Lindsay that doesn’t need jail,” he told the talk show host — via Access Hollywood. “I’ve been there myself and I know jail didn’t do anything for me with my addictions.”

Michael also took advantage of his TV spot to continue on his claims that Lindsay needs help for what he believes is a serious prescription drug problem.

“Lisa, Dr. Drew and myself have been telling everybody that this girl needs a rehab, she needs help. Dr. Drew wanted to help her, he offered to help her a long time ago," Michael explained. "If Lindsay’s lawyer and Lindsay would have just listened to us, she would have been in a rehab, she would have been on a way to being clean and sober and have her life back,” Michael said. “Instead, she got jail and rehab.”

Michael also explained why he and Lindsay are not on speaking terms.

“Because I’m speaking out, like I am today,” he said.
