Mackenzie Phillips' Drug Troubles

After a run-in with the law at the Los Angeles International Airport this August, troubled actress Mackenzie Phillips has been charged with felony possession of drugs.
The former teen celebrity, who starred on the show One Day at A Time until she was fired in 1982 for her drug problems, will have to battle two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, heroin and cocaine. She'll also face a lesser misdemeanor charge of unauthorized possession of a needle or syringe, according to the AP

Mackenzie shocked officials when she confessed "I'm holding," meaning drugs, after failing a security screening. Heroin and cocaine allegedly fell from inside her pants, and she was arrested. According to the police report of the incident, she also responded "No, I am healthy except for my drug problem," when asked about any health issues she may have.
TMZ also is reporting that the 48-year-old actress has checked into rehab, her 10th attempt at getting sober once and for all.
