Well, that's one way to hide a pregnancy. January Jones made her debut on the  fifth season of Mad Men last night in a very big way!

The Jon Hamm-directed episode focused on Betty Francis' (January) weight gain. At the time this episode was filmed, January was pregnant with her son, Xander Dane Jones. But no, that's not how January looked while she was pregnant! Rather than trying to hide her baby bump, Mad Men writers got creative and played up January's slight weight gain by putting her in a fat suit.

Betty is spending much of her days snacking on the couch at home. After her mother-in-law suggests she go to the doctor and get diet pills, Betty discovers a tumor on her thyroid. She calls her ex-husband, Don Draper (Jon), in a panic, saying she could have cancer.

"Say what you always say," Betty begs.

Don says, "Everything's gonna be okay."

It was a rather touching moment between the two, and we'll admit we hope that means the door is open for a possible reconciliation!

While Betty continues to worry about her mortality as she waits for the results, so does Don. He confesses his concerns to his new wife, Megan Draper (Jessica Paré). Megan tries to be supportive, but can't exactly hide the fact that she's not the biggest fan of Betty.

Meanwhile back at the office, Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser) is busy celebrating the victory of signing Mohawk back to Sterling Cooper Draper Price and rubbing it in Roger Sterling's (John Slattery) face. Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss) is assigned the job of hiring a new copywriter and selects Michael Ginsberg (Ben Feldman) to interview based on his impressive portfolio. Even though he deeply offends her, Don and Roger sign off on hiring him.

Don is still trying to come up with an ad to please Heinz and, at the client's request, goes on a journey with Harry Crane (Rich Sommer) to find The Rolling Stones' manager and ask them to do a commercial. They don't succeed and instead Don realizes just how much he can't fit in with the younger crowd anymore.

In the end, Betty finds out the tumor is benign, but she seems almost disappointed by the news. She says, "It's nice to be put through the ringer and find out I'm just fat."

And instead of trying to diet, Betty sits down with her daughter Sally (Kiernan Shipka) and eats an ice cream sundae. When Sally doesn't finish her own, Betty kindly finishes it for her.

Looks like this food baby is going to be around for some time!
