As Madonna and soon-to-be ex hubby Guy Ritchie begin to hash out the details of their nearly 8-year marriage, some potential dirty laundry is, of course, hitting the internet.  According to Fox News.com, the Material Girl was making frequent trips to a NYC building  back in July of 2007, where New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez had an apartment!

Columnist Roger Friedman writes that in July 2007,  A-Rod "had sublet a 'secret love shack' in the Time Warner Center.  I confirmed that Madonna was a frequent guest to the building, which was a very different address from the apartment A-Rod shared with his now ex-wife."

Friedman goes on to say that the Time Warner building is just "a couple of blocks away from Madonna's digs on Central Park West."

That same Time Warner apartment, owned by a New York lawyer, is reportedly still occupied by Rodriguez.

In the meantime, Madonna and Guy continue to wrangle over their financial affairs.  The singer is reportedly worth an estimated $500 million.  She made a $120 million deal with LiveNation this year but it's not clear if that money is part of her estimated fortune.  Fox also claims that insiders say Ritchie is only concerned with the welfare of his and Madonna's son, Rocco.  Her other children, Lourdes Leon and adopted son David Banda, are of little interest to him.

The bottom line: It's getting nasty, and with a high profile couple such as this one, our best bet is that it's only going to get nastier.

Let's just hope for the sake of their three kids that Madonna and Guy come to a quick and amiable divorce agreement!
