Pop superstar Madonna has filed a lawsuit against the management company of her luxury Manhattan building, claiming the cold-hearted board won't let her purchase the neighboring apartment.

According to court papers, the singer believes that the co-op's board of director's wrongfully blocked her purchase of the apartment at 1 W.64th St., overlooking Central Park. The material girl and her film director hubby Guy Ritchie already owns one apartment in the building and is requesting the court allow the sale to go through — and also to rule that the board must pay her legal fees.

This isn't the first time Madonna has wanted to expand one of her many properties. This past summer, she dug deep into her pockets to the tune of $12 million to purchase the building adjoining one of her London residences, with thoughts of connecting the 10-bedroom mansion to her meager 8-bedroom estate next door.
