We can't indulge in the Season 6 premiere of Mad Men without supping on a couple cocktails as we find out whether Don Draper is going to have a roving eye once again or if he stays loyal to his ambitious wife Megan.

And will Peggy return to her mentor, Don after leaving Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce for pastures new in season 5.

Basil Hayden's bourbon is a favorite among the cast and crew with show creator Matthew Weiner revealing that he often drinks it with his writers in the writers room so here are some options using the delicious liquor.

Basil Hayden's® Mad-hattan (Created by Damian Windsor, LA)

Ingredients:

2 parts Basil Hayden's® Bourbon

3/4 parts Dolin® Blanc Vermouth de Chambery

1 bar spoon Luxardo® Maraschino Cherries

1 dash Orange Bitters

Preparation:

1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir until combined.

2. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.

3. Garnish with an orange twist.

Basil Hayden's® Old Fashioned - Recipe by Shawn Thompson, Chicago

Ingredients:

1 1/2 parts Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon

2 dashes of Bitters

2 tsp Demerara Sugar

1/8 Blood Orange (or Clementine Orange)

1 Griottine® Cherry

Splash of Soda Water

Instructions:

1. In a rocks glass, muddle the cherry and blood orange with the skin removed in the sugar

2. Add bitters and Basil Hayden's and stir until the sugar is dissolved

3. Top with a splash of soda water and garnish with a slice of blood orange

Basil Hayden's Manhattan 2.0

Ingredients:

1½ parts Basil Hayden’s® Bourbon

½ part Sweet Vermouth

½ part Dry Vermouth

½ part Maple Syrup

2 dashes of Bitters

Instructions:

1. Stir together the bourbon, vermouths, maple syrup and bitters over ice in a rocks glass

2. Garnish with a cherry and serve.

1.5oz Remy Martin VSOP

1 ounce Cointreau

1 ounce lemon juice

Instructions:

Shake and top off with the cider. Serve in a martini glass. Rim with cinnamon sugar and garnish with an orange twist.

In a flute glass, build ingredients. Top generously with DISARONNO.

Water

Cherry

Orange slice

In an old-fashioned glass, place 1/2 teaspoon sugar and 2 dashes bitters dissolved in water. Fill with ice. Pour 1-1/2 parts Jim Beam® Bourbon; add cherry, orange slice and lemon wedge.

Mad Manhattan

Ingredients:

1-3/4 parts Jim Beam® Bourbon

3/4 part vermouth

dash bitters

cherry

Add 3/4 part sweet vermouth to 1-3/4 parts Jim Beam® Bourbon in a manhattan glass. Add a cherry. Optional: add 1 dash bitters. Enjoy.

Smooth & Sour

Ingredients:

2 parts Jim Beam Black® Bourbon

1 part amaretto liqueur

1 part triple sec

2 parts sour mix

2 parts lemon-lime soda

Serve shaken in a tall glass with cracked ice. Garnish with a squeeze of lemon.
