Matthew McConaughey Talks 'Magic Mike' Scenes: "Trusting a Thong is a Huge Leap of Faith"

As Matthew McConaughey heats up the screen as a stripper in Magic Mike, there's one costume that can be a bit challenging. And by challenging we mean skimpy!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, at the junket this past weekend, Matthew revealed, "It's a huge leap of faith to trust a thong. It's your only protection up on stage."

He recalled, "When I first tried it on, my body contorted. And I tried to get myself into every position to see what angles I was covered."

Then Channing Tatum added, "And sometimes a thong completely betrays you."

And betray it did! Apparently in the film, girls in the audience got so excited during a strip scene that they rushed onto stage and literally ripped the thong right off Matthew's body! Fellow Mike star, Alex Pettyfer summed it up by saying Matthew was "naked in a pit of screaming women."
