Yet another celebrity has gone and gotten themselves infected with that new-fangled H1N1 virus — better known as Swine Flu. This time, it's Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars alum Melissa Rycroft, who confirms the snotty, sniffly news in a statement to OK!.
Says Melissa:
"I am indeed recovering from a bout of the H1N1 flu virus. Like most people who become infected I thought I had a mild case of the common flu but when my symptoms exacerbated I immediately went to the hospital where I was diagnosed with H1N1 and given the proper medications to cure the infection. I received good advice from my fiance’s mother who is a nurse to go to the hospital and I want to stress to people how easy it is to battle this flu when you take the proper steps such as seeking the care of a doctor. I’m a clear case that by paying diligent attention to your health its easy to overcome this illness and be healthy again."
Since the porcine disease first began to spread throughout North America, a number of celebs have admitted to falling ill with it. Before Melissa, the most recent cases were David Boreanaz and Brian Littrell. Earlier in the summer, Harry Potter co-star Rupert Grint admitted to feeling a bit swine-y and British model/reality star/writer/floatation device Katie Price has confessed to becoming ill with H1N1.
