"A relief that I wasn’t left out!" she said. "I’m very happy and it’s kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing that we got nominated at the same time. I don’t know if we’ll ever be lucky enough for that to happen again. I’m really happy this year."

And we bet she's even happier after winning the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and her on-screen husband, Ty Burrell, won too!

So how did Julie prepare for the big red carpet?

"I’m watching TV right now and I’m starting to get a little bit nervous," Julie admitted. "For me, I start with skin — if the skin is good, you can build up from there. Every day I moisturize I use the Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer, it’s fantastic. So then I can get red- carpet ready very quickly. It doesn’t take nearly as much time. I just have to spackle my face."

Julie went a little more adventurous with her Emmys gown this year, wearing Oscar de la Renta.

"It was between this and one other and I went back and forth and I said, 'You know what? It’s a bold statement dress and not necessarily one I’ll be able to wear for the rest of my life so I should wear it now before I sit down and become a couch potato forever,'" Julie explained to OK!.

Do you think she made a good choice?
