She played with fire — and got burned!
After battling with her fellow Design Star contestants to create the coolest space for FDNY firefighters to hangout in, Nina Ferrer was forced to stop, drop and roll out of the competition on Sunday with her losing design.
But Ferrer assures OK! that even after her elimination, her career is still smokin’.
"I’m just kind of pushing through in the design industry. I have a restaurant and a club coming up that I’m looking to possibly sign onto, and I’m just enjoying myself,” Ferrer said.
She may not have won the show’s top prize — her own show on HGTV — but Ferrer has kept a positive outlook through it all.
“The show was a great experience. Its gotten me great exposure, and I am loving the fact that I am recognized by people when I’m out in public,” Ferrer said.
"I have no regrets and leave with the confidence that I am a successful designer. The show highlighted that I am not afraid to push the envelope as a leader."
