Lindsay Lohan is taking the necessary steps to get her life back on track. The 24-year-old actress's license was suspended as a result of her 2007 DUI, and now she qualifies to hit the open road again. "Lindsay went to the DMV in Santa Monica today," a source close to the actress tells OK! exclusively.

"You're not allowed to drive if you are on probation for DUI, but she went to jail for ignoring her rules of probation on DUI, and she's served her time so she can re-apply," our source adds.

"She also went to a McDonald's drive through on the way home from the DMV," our source adds.

The first post-rehab snapshot of LiLo shows the actress sporting a rocker look, wearing a leather jacket and large V-Moda headphones around her neck.

Lindsay was secretly escorted by police out of UCLA rehab shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. Police employed multiple decoys to detract the media firestorm.

Ex-girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, also seemed to play a integral role in Lindsay's clandestine release.

"Rumor is she's back with Sam and even bought a condo in Sam's building," our source adds.
