From January 21 to 31, Park City, Utah, will glitter with stars, as Tinseltown flocks to the Sundance Film Festival. And this year’s roster of attendees couldn’t get any brighter: Natalie Portman, Orlando Bloom and Twilighters Ashley Greene and Kristen Stewart are all expected to enjoy the town’s premieres and parties.

LUXURIOUS RETREATS

Since its August opening, the Dakota Mountain Lodge & Golden Door Spa — Park City’s first luxury ski-in, ski-out resort — has set the bar for five-star living. Each guest room comes with a gas fireplace, whirlpool tub, iPod docking station and 42-inch flat-screen HDTV, while suites offer gourmet kitchens with Viking appliances. After a soothing Mountain Salvation Massage at the world-class Golden Door Spa, you’ll be ready to conquer the slopes the next day (rates from $300; dakotamountainlodge.com). Another property that’s making waves is the St. Regis Deer Crest Resort, which opened in December. Its heated outdoor infinity pool will be the place to spot celebs at Sundance (rates from $499; stregis.com).

THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Mix with locals and movie buffs alike on Park City’s historic Main Street; restaurants and boutiques worthy of any New York City block lie behind the street’s Wild West exterior. At eatery Zoom, you can catch owner Robert Redford enjoying hearty macaroni and cheese or a colorful Mexican seafood seviche. When the weather’s warmer, try a hot-air balloon ride with Morning Star Balloons. You can sip champagne while admiring the Wasatch Mountain Range from up on high.

And don’t miss dinner at Spruce, located in the Dakota Mountain Lodge. The Killers’ Brandon Flowers has popped into this rustic-yet-refined dinner spot for dishes like handmade gnocchi with sauce vierge and slow-roasted beef short rib with grilled white peaches and horseradish soubise.
