My darling friend Rebecca is hosting an Oscars party Sunday night, and she’s promised to have plenty of goodies to munch on. Even though we’re not walking the red carpet, we do want to maintain our A-lister figures, so I called in How to Eat Like a Hot Chick authors Jodi Lipper and Cerina Vincent for some pointers on what should be on our Oscars snack table. Here's the gals' delicious tips:

Steer clear of processed meats and cheeses. “Get good Brie cheese, healthy whole grain crackers, fruits and nuts and put it out on a pretty platter,” suggests Jodi. “And bake some brownies. Our whole idea is to make food fun."

Veggies are key, but instead of ranch dip, make a great guacamole. “It’s really good for you and it has good fats,” says Cerina.

Try a “Hot Chick” margarita. “Sweet and sour mix has a ton of sugar in it,” Jodi says. “Pour your tequila on the rocks and add a bunch of lime and a splash of diet 7-Up. You’ll have a low-cal margarita that tastes just as good.”

Try a pound of spinach the next morning. “Apples, bananas, nuts, vegetables and our magic cure-all, a pound of spinach. These are the foods that help you on your way to looking hotter,” says Cerina.

The gals also suggest adding parmesan cheese to “just about everything. It tastes better,” they say. Now I can’t wait to dig in!

The 8oth Annual Academy Awards begins with red carpet coverage on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
