Patricia Heaton has apologized after feeling the heat from her Twitter rant against Georgetown University Law student and reproductive-rights advocate Sandra Fluke.

The Middle star sided with Rush Limbaugh's right-wing view against Sandra's testimony to the Democratic members of Congress on why contraception should be covered by insurance companies. The 54-year-old actress Tweeted a series of "jokes" expressing her thoughts on Sandra's testimony that didn't go over well with all of her followers.

Rush issued an apology after he called Sandra "a s***" and "a prostitute" for her support of health insurance companies covering contraception. At first, Patricia canceled her Twitter account without apology, but eventually signed back on to apologize for her comments. She still, however, says she disagrees with Sandra's views.

"Tweatons: Finally heard all the commentary," Patricia Tweeted. "I crossed the line w/@SandraFluk. Don't agree w/her views, but I was not showing Christ's love."

"I apologized to Ms Fluke last week. I may not agree with her views but I didn’t treat her with respect and I'm sorry," she added. "I was wrong. Mea Culpa."
