Before Jersey Shore’s Pauly “DJ Pauly D” Del Vecchio jumpstarts his summer bus tour during The Hennessy Black Kickoff Party held Saturday at Ultra 88 inside Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun, he meets me outside the club teeming with his biggest fans.

“The most bizarre thing about fame is that it’s weird to go in any single state, and wherever you go, they all know your name,” the Rhode Island native tells me. “You can step out of a car, and they’re yelling your name. That’s crazy. That’s pretty bizarre to me.”

When it comes to weirdness, polite Pauly has seen it all.

“Some girl came up to me – I have a Cadillac tattoo right here scans the length of his body – and she lifted up her shirt, and she has the same exact tattoo. That’s crazy. laughs Can you imagine a girl getting that?! Yeah.”

While the Jersey Shore cast is all about their heterosexual exploits, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Vinny Guadagnino and Ronnie Magro appear on the cover of the Village Voice’s “Queer Issue” out now.

“That’s fine,” Pauly says of their gay fanbase. “We’ve got all kinds of fans. They range from guys, girls, old people, young people, all nationalities. That’s great. The more fans, the better.”

Although many TV casts experience overblown egos when their project becomes a hit, Pauly insists that the Jersey Shore crew continues to be friendly with each other into season two, which begins July 29.

“A lot of stuff is going on, but generally we all get along,” he says.

Still, fame hasn’t changed the dating scene much for this suave spinner.

“I’ve been a DJ my whole life, so the DJ life is crazy. I was getting girls before the show, and I’m getting girls now. Now it’s all around the world.”

In fact, when it comes to his ideal mate, he’s got it all planned out.

“My dream woman would be a girl like me who takes care of herself, she takes pride, she has values and morals. She’s good with her family.”

Would he ever make a sex tape?

“No,” he says firmly. “No need, no need, no need.”

For now, it’s time to get to the DJ booth where he’ll fulfill song requests from fan tweets, spin tunes including Katy Perry’s California Gurls and OasisWonderwall and play a Michael Jackson tribute song.

DJing is also the way he’ll celebrate his 30th birthday on July 5.

“I’m excited. Real excited. We’re doing it in Vegas. I love it out there. I’m DJing, so it’s going to be a good time.”

Where does he see himself in 10 years?

“I’m definitely going to be one of the top DJs in the world - for sure, for sure.”

Post-event, a select group gets to fist pump with Pauly at the afterparty held in the Presidential suite. Ah, the life of a DJ.

Pauly D’s weeklong summer bus tour will stop in Buffalo, Albany, Rochester, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh before wrapping up in Scranton, Pa., on July 2. Find out details through Twitter @DJPaulyD.

Mohegan Sun makes for an excellent getaway, and its arena will host upcoming concerts for Michael Buble, American Idols Live, Maroon 5, Rihanna, Reba McEntire, Aerosmith and Shakira. Not only does the hotel property include Ultra 88 nightclub and a concert space, but there’s also gaming, shopping and an array of restaurants such as Big Bubba’s BBQ and Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain, where Pauly dined before his nightclub appearance.
