Prince Harry is “upset” he won’t be joining his brother, Prince William, and his sister-in-law, Duchess Kate, in Scotland this summer, a source told In Touch. The red-headed royal is annoyed “that he can’t make” the trip and get out of California due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

However, Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, doesn’t seem to mind sitting this one out. “She doesn't feel like she’s missing out,” the insider explained. “She’s been too busy decorating their new Montecito mansion.”

Prince William, 38, Kate, 38, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, were spotted at the castle on August 28, where they were reunited with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. According to The Times, Harry, 35, and Markle, 39, were planning on traveling to Scotland when they accepted the invitation in March, but ultimately, the pandemic got in the way.

These days, Harry is settling into his new home in Santa Barbara, California, with the Suits alum and their son, Archie. “They were craving a smaller community and a slower pace — Montecito is very mellow, a charming little town and the Santa Barbara area offers an ideal lifestyle that they’re looking forward to,” a source told PEOPLE. In fact, their nine bedroom house is “a place of peace.”

“What I need is a few mini rugby balls that I can then get Archie involved with the game because at the moment it’s impossible to find any,” he shared on August 29, referring to what he wanted to teach his little boy. “But I’ve got a little bit of space outside which we’re fortunate enough to have, so I need to get him playing some rugby league.”
