Prince William's godfather is the former king of Greece, King Constantine, a longtime family friend and distant relative of Prince Philip. Constantine is excited for his godson's upcoming wedding and says William will make a "fantastic" husband to Kate Middleton.
King Constantine sat down with Meredith Vieira on Today at his home in London and shared his excited about the upcoming royal wedding between his godson and Kate.
"I think it's wonderful," he said. "It's nice to see a young couple happy like that. I think it will be a fantastic moment."
Does he think William will be nervous on his wedding day?
"Yes, I'm sure he will. Excited and nervous," Constantine explained. "She will be too. So will the parents, grandparents and the godparents."
"He's a good chap, very good boy," he added. "I think he's, of course, lucky."
"She's also lucky," William's godfather explained. "She has a wonderful man who will be a fantastic husband, no question about it."
