Ratings For 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Go Through the Roof

Tragedy apparently sells and when it does, it sells big. Ratings soared on the season premiere of season two of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Monday night. Compared to last year's season premiere, viewership increased by 42 percent. Find out more after the jump!

As pointed out by Radar Online, Neilsen Media Research data showed the reality show also increased by 51 percent in the 18-49 year-old demographic which is also the target audience for the show. The premiere featured tributes of Taylor Armstrong's costars lending their concern and voices toward Russell's untimely death.

As Adrienne Maloof, Camille Grammer, Kyle and Kim Richards and Lisa Vanderpump talked frankly in front of the cameras, Bravo editors were busy at work. Turns out they have edited out Russell of a few episodes but executives have decided to air footage of his marriage counseling sessions with Taylor.

A source told RadarOnline, "Bravo has made the decision to air their marriage counseling sessions. Taylor is supportive of the network airing the therapy sessions. Bravo will be looking at those sessions and doing any necessary edits if needed, given Russell's suicide."

The source added, "Both Russell and Taylor were filmed individually during their sessions. Taylor's will definitely be airing, although it's likely that Russell's individual sessions won't be."
