Kate Upton is no diva when it comes to diet and fitness.

The supermodel, 20, who graces the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, reveals the top three secrets for getting her bikini body.

“I think eating healthy is very important,” she tells me during Samsung’s 2013 TV launch at the Museum of Finance in NYC. “Working out, of course, and shaving.”

Hm, how do those help?

"I try to eat healthy and work out every day," the beauty explains. "Even if I wasn’t a model, I think it’s good for everybody to stay healthy and keep active, and shaving because—you’re in a bikini. laughs”

Despite her supermodel status, Kate doesn't follow a rigid diet or exercise regimen.

“I don’t think there’s anything unique about it,” she says. “It’s pretty straight forward, and it’s full-body cardio, staying active and having a good balanced diet.”

Of course, cardio does more for Kate than just tone her figure.

“For me, it’s great,” she says. “I love to go to the gym. I feel better afterwards—I’m in a better mood. It clears my mind, and also keeps me nice and in shape.”
