When Amanda Overmyer was voted off the show late last month, she said that she would rather return to her job as a nurse than spend her life desperately trying to prolong her 15 minutes of fame.

But her down-to-earth attitude has been rewarded with a gig at one of the world's most famous venues: the Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood. On May 24, season seven's rock chick is going to tread the same boards that her hero, Janis Joplin, once did.

David Hernandez also hit the ground running after he became the first finalist to crash out of the contest. As OK! reported, he bagged an audition for Rent on Broadway, and only just missed out on a lead role. On Friday night he sang the national anthem before the Roadrunners hockey game in Phoenix, Ariz.

In a post on his Myspace blog, David sounded very keen for people to show up to support him. "The show starts at 7 p.m., if anyone can make it," he wrote. "Not sure how much tickets are but I'm sure they are reasonable. If you're in the area or even if you're not, I would really like to see you there!!!"

Also hitting the national anthem circuit is Asia'h Epperson, who did the honors before the St. Louis Cardinals played the Springfield Cardinals at Hammons Field, the Minor League stadium in Springfield, Mo.

Kady Malloy has just announced a two-date "tour." Also on the bill for the all-reject On Our Way show is fellow semi-finalists Alaina Whitaker. They will be joined by Nina Shaw, Colton Swon, Brendon Green and Kyle Ensley, all of whom failed to survive Hollywood week. They're going to be in Tulsa, Okla., on May 9.

Kady has also posted a duet with early exiter Colton Berry on Myspace. Colton has resumed his prolific career in amateur theatrics.

Ramiele Malubay only left the show on Wednesday and hasn't firmed up any plans. But she has kind of burned her bridges with her pre-Idol employer: she quit live on Regis and Kelly. Yesterday, after she performed on the show, host Regis asked her if her boss at the Florisa sushi bar knew she wasn't coming back. "Now she does!" said Ramiele, looking more than a little awkward.

But, Robbie Caricco? Jason Yaeger? Garrett Haley? Alexandrea Lushington? Guys, if you're out there, just call and let us know you're safe.
