Renee Zellweger won England over when she was casted in Bridget Jones’s Diary. Because of her role and dedication to the film including a drastic weight gain and weight loss, she received her first Oscar nomination. She then received a second nomination for the musical Chicago, but did not win again. She finally won an Oscar for her performance in Cold Mountain in 2003. Some consider her bring break in the film Jerry Maguire, where she costarred with Tom Cruise.
