NEWSRip Torn Arrested For Bank Break-In

Actor Rip Torn was arrested Saturday morning on charges of breaking into a bank in C.T. and was reportedly under the influence during the incident.
According to E! Online, police discovered Rip at a Salisbury, C.T. bank, “with a loaded revolver, and was highly intoxicated.”
The actor, 78, caused the bank’s alarm to go off at 9:40 PM and was arrested on more than on charge including possession of a firearm while intoxicated, first- degree burglary, and trespassing among others according to E! Online.

Rip, who has had a criminal record in the past, is being held on $100,000 bond in C.T. as of this morning,
He is set for arraignment on Feb. 1 of 2010, E! Online reports.
