"I would never give up love," Russell tells Redbook magazine. "I'd definitely give up money."

"I feel quite lucky — now that I'm married, I have this great love and partnership in my life that is the most important thing to me," he added about his marriage to Katy. "I also happen to be married to a girl who is quite a lot of fun. And I'm discovering how lovely permanence and building an ongoing relationship can be, rather than always thinking, What's next?"

Would Russell say he's been tamed by marriage?

"I think I was ready for it. If you're wild, like a wild animal, marriage won't contain you," Russell explains. "I think that's how a lot of people get into trouble. It's sort of like someone who isn't toilet-trained — this is the kind of thing that will compromise most marriages."

And despite their busy schedules (Katy says they plan out dates months in advance) they make time for great, simple dates.

"The thing that constantly surprises people is how absolutely ordinary our relationship is," Russell explains. "If you take away the things that glisten on the surface, like fame, our dates are really no different from yours or anyone else's."

"Dinner and a movie!"
