Sarah Jessica Parker beamed on the blue carpet last night at Bravo's 2010 Upfront Party at Skylight Studio in NYC. The event celebrated a variety of "Bravolebrities" for their contribution to the network. The fashionista looked radiant in Stella McCartney and Fred Leighton jewels, but the evening was not about fashion for her — it was all about the arts.

SJP is producing Bravo's latest reality series Work of Art, pitting a dozen artists against one another, competing in challenges to produce various kinds of artwork — from painting and photography to sculpting and industrial design.

"The truth is I just don’t know a great deal about art," Sarah Jessica told OK! at last night's event. "I love it. And I’m a great enthusiast, but I thought there was a whole world of people just like me who feel slightly intimidated by the art world."

Sarah Jessica wants to use her celebrity platform to draw attention to the art world.

"There’s also countless artists who are working in obscurity, and I thought there was a time in our country where we supported our artists and wouldn’t it be great it we could go support artists and give them an audience," she said. "And we could, as Americans learn about what it is to be an artist, and about art and how we feel about art."
