Sheriff: Isaac Hayes Died from Stroke

Isaac Hayes apparantly died from a stroke, according to the Memphis Sheriff's Department.

Hayes died on Sunday after he was found unconscious at his Memphis home.

A sheriff spokesman said that Hayes's family filed paperwork listing his cause of death as stroke. But no autopsy has been performed and no official determination has yet been released by the medical examiner's office.

Family members found Hayes lying on the floor of his home beside a treadmill that was still switched on. The singer was reportedly under a doctor's care at the time of his death.
