As if Simon Cowell's ego needed inflating any further, Britain has officially started treating him like a king!

While the Englishman is touring his home country to find contestants for his latest talent show, he has demanded special permission to park right outside every single audition, Britain's Sun newspaper is reporting.

Amazingly, town councils across the country have obliged by granting Simon special privilege's usually reserved for the Queen.

Apparently, the American Idol judge says that he is scared of being mobbed by fans outside venues while he is filming Britain's Got Talent, and can't bear the thought of walking anywhere!

Normally, only Her Majesty can ignore parking regulations. But according to reports, the show's producers have pleaded with local authorities to let Simon to leave his $395,000 Rolls Royce anyplace he likes.

One London borough has even allowed Simon's chauffeur to pull up in the mayor's space, and officials in Birmingham dug up concrete posts to let him park on the sidewalk!

A show insider told the Sun: "Simon likes to get his own way and was adamant that his driver should be able to park the Roller right outside every theater.

"He hates walking anywhere and the idea of being mobbed fills him with fear.

"So we contacted all the relevant councils and asked them if they could make a special dispensation.

"The producers sorted it out verbally on the phone. Simon doesn't have a special sticker or anything.

"It wasn't always easy as only the Queen and senior members of the Royal Family get to park wherever they like.

"But I think many of the councils were grateful that Britain's Got Talent was coming to their town so they helped us out."
