The Spice Girls Reunite to Rehearse for the 2012 London Olympics Closing Ceremony

The world is just a few days away from seeing Britain's beloved pop group Spice Girls reunite for the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Summer Olympics.

Although the five members of the all-girl group went their separate ways in 2001, Ginger (Geri Halliwell), 39, Baby (Emma Bunton), 36, Sporty (Melanie Chisholm), 38, Scary (Melanie Brown), 37, and Posh (Victoria Beckham), 38, will hit the live stage together again, and it’s rumored they’ll sing their 1996 fan favorite, Wannabe.

The Daily Telegraph reports they have been rehearsing and were recently spotted practicing their performance.

David Arnold, the closing ceremony's musical director, has been working on the event for two years and said, "If the opening ceremony was the wedding, then we’re the wedding reception. We’re the one where everyone gets out of their cars at the village hall, goes 'Wasn’t that lovely, everyone looked great, let’s put on "Blame It On the Boogie" and have a laugh.’”

The composer, who has written music for James Bond films and the hit BBC show Sherlock, added, "To me, this should be the greatest afterparty in the world."

Also scheduled to perfom are Queen's Brain May, Pet Shop Boys, Jessie J, Annie Lennox, and George Michael.
