'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark' Was "Fabulous" Says "Very Proud" Bill Clinton

While most critics were harsh with their reviews of the highly-anticipated grand opening of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, a former president of the United States was quite impressed! Bill Clinton attended the show’s opening in NYC Tuesday night and voiced his support for the show in a press release this morning!

“What an amazing and historic night on Broadway," he said in a statement, via Entertainment Weekly. "New York has never seen anything like Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. And I am very proud of them for not giving up, it was fabulous.”

Most critics have expressed that, while the show was better after the overhaul, it sill lacked the "wow" factor.

The show took a three-week hiatus for an overhaul of the production after months of ridicule from the media and the replacement of former director Julie Taymor.
