Forty years old and unemployed,  Brennan (Ferrell) and Dale (Reilly) become slacker stepbrothers when their parents (Mary Steenburgen and Richard Jenkins) marry and everyone moves in together. The fur flies until the guys join forces to take on life and Brennan’s jerk brother (Adam Scott). There are some laughs (think frat-house slapstick), but not much depth, to this wacky comedy. Also available in a two-disc unrated edition.
