'Teen Mom 2' Stars Kailyn Lowry & Chelsea Houska Promote Show on 'GMA'

Teen Mom 2 returns to MTV tonight for season two and stars Kailyn Lowry and Chelsea Houska stopped by Good Morning America today to speak out and defend the show.

Good Morning America reported that teen pregnancy has declined since the early '90s, but shows like Teen Mom have been criticized for glamorizing teen pregnancy.

Kailyn and Chelsea said that is not at all true and they hope viewers are learning something different from the show.

"I think it's really important to notice that in one episode one of us is crying, one of is fighting with their boyfriend, one of them doesn't have money to buy diapers and one of them is about to go to jail. There's no way that any of that is glamorous. So, that is so important. It's so hard."

"I always wanted my family together. I believe children should have a full family and be married when you have a child," Chelsea told GMA. "When you have a kid young you just can't always give them that opportunity."

Though the girls say the show can be difficult on them at times, it's also a good learning experience.

"We get a look back at mistakes we made and try to improve on them," Chelsea explained. "We try extra hard to be good role models for the other girls out there."
