Third Time's the Charm! Ricky Gervais to Return as Golden Globes Host

They say all good things come in threes...

But while there were rumors comedian Ricky Gervais would return again to host the Golden Globes, no one gave these much thought after Ricky's controversial turn at the podium last winter.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association shocked everyone when they confirmed Ricky's hosting position at the 69th Annual Golden Globes ceremony on Twitter late Wednesday afternoon

But don't expect Ricky to clean up his act too much for the ceremony this January!

OK! NEWS: JON STEWART ASKS RICKY GERVAIS TO APOLOGIZE: "IT HURT MY SELF-ESTEEM"

The Office star followed up the announcement with his own Tweet: "Just told Billy Crystal he'd better not use any of my holocaust or pedophile material at The Oscars. He agreed (true)."

And Ricky isn't without supporters of his uncensored hosting skills.

Fellow Brit Piers Morgan Tweeted: "BOOM! @rickygervais back hosting Golden Globes. Be afraid, Hollywood egos, be very afraid."

The America's Got Talent judge followed it up by Tweeting at the star himself: "Dear @rickygervais - please can I have the first 'Sorry if I offended anyone' interview after the 2012 Golden Globes, like last time?"
