This season has been pretty up and down for me. And this episode was one of the down ones.

It dealt with what we learned after the fire. Dave started feeling guilt over killing not only his head shrink, but six other people. Of course, it wasn’t enough for him to turn himself in. Instead, he tapped into the rumor already brewing on Wisteria Lane, that Porter, who had threatened the club’s owner – Anne’s abusive husband – set the blaze. Dave, you really are evil.

Of course, Anne got the last laugh. Lynette handed her a boatload of money to leave town (the pizza parlor must be doing great!), and said she should never contact Porter again, even about the baby. Anne took the dough, and then informed Lynette there never was a child on the way. Yep, should have asked to see the ultrasound first!

Susan learned that Katherine is sleeping with her ex-husband Mike through a cookie snafu. She said she’s okay with it. Katherine, trust us, she’s not.

The fire caused trauma for two husbands in very different ways. Carlos learned that a brain bone fragment, missed when he first lost his eyesight in the tornado, could be removed and he could possibly get his eyesight back, a thought that dismayed Gabrielle. She felt she hadn’t been looking her hot self in like, five years. But in a poignant moment, Carlo told her he fell in love with her when she let her beauty guard down (eating ribs no less), and he got to see the real her. Which is good, since he’ll be seeing more of her when he gets his sight back (but not much more, really).

Orson’s ordeal left him with a snore that could keep an entire Wisteria Lane block awake. Bree wanted him to have surgery, and he refused, until he drugged his wife with a sleeping pill, which caused her to make a fool of herself at a cooking demonstration. That was enough of a bargaining tool to get him under the knife. I will admit, I wasn’t expecting the curve ball of Orson’s surgeon being Andrew’s boyfriend. Hey Bree, you should be happy. You son is dating a doctor!!
