Hey there!

I'm OK!'s blogger of the month for February and I can't wait to get connected with all of you guys! I'm so excited to blog and even more excited to be back on Trading Spaces! I have returned and I hoped you guys have been watching -- Saturdays at 9 p.m. on TLC!

It feels great to be back and what's even better is that the show has reverted back to the original format. We're going back to old school Trading Spaces, old rules, old faces! I'm not the only familiar face here though! We have many familiar faces back -- Doug Wilson, Hildi Santo-Tomas, Laurie Hickson-Smith and Edward Walker, and we have a couple of new faces too, which is very exciting. I already worked with them and they just fit in like a dream! In fact, I wish some of them have been with us from the very beginning because they just felt like family from the first minute that I met them and worked with them. So it's been a very exciting season in that respect -- just being reunited and then of course meeting new friends.

Going back to the old format has been great too. It's like déjà vu! All the really charming elements of the show that fans loved have returned, like our theme song. Everybody loves our theme song, so I said we need it back! We have the overhead fast-motion camera again, which was a real fun element that fans had missed.

I think with all of these things, Trading Spaces is sort of back to its balance, back to its family entertainment, back to its fun! Those are sort of the main points of how the change is actually a reversal! We're enabling the show to focus on our homeowners in a way that we learn why is it so important for them to trade.

Speaking of homeowners, we're also not actually making it a requirement that our homeowners be neighbors anymore. It's fabulous when they are neighbors (and we prefer it), but what’s more important to us is that the homeowners have a really good groove in for trading whether it be a funny reason, an interesting reason or if they have something more at stake.

Really, though, anything will allow us to be more invested in how the room turns out and whether or not our homeowners will like there rooms in the end. I think that translates to our viewers being more invested and whether the homeowners like the room and therefore more invested in the show itself.

It's going to be an amazing season, guys!

Love,

Paige
