Watch out, brainiacs! IBM and Jeopardy! have collaborated on a very exciting, innovative project! Jeopardy! champs Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter are taking on a new competitor, Watson — a super-computer with advanced artificial-intelligence.
Watson is the latest artificial intelligence software project by IBM, and the computer is competing on Jeopardy! in an exhibition consisting of two games played over three days.

The competition began last night, and Watson is definitely a smarty pants, specifically excelling in the category "Olympic Oddities."
During the first round last night, Watson tied with Brad Rutter or the lead with $5,000 and Ken finished third with $2,000.
But Watson also has some kinks that he needs to be worked out
In the category "Name The Decade," host Alex Trebek asks, "The first modern crossword is published and Oreo cookies are introduced."
Ken was the first to respond "the 1920s?" — WRONG answer.
Following that, Watson buzzed in with "What is the 1920s?"
"No," Alex reprimanded. "Ken said that!"
Brad had the correct answer with, "What are the 19-teens?"
