Whitney Houston's Funeral in Newark With Kevin Costner, Alicia Keys & More

Stars from across the globe made their way to New Hope Baptist Church in New Jersey this morning for iconic singer Whitney Houston’s funeral.

The “I Will Always Love You” artist’s body made its way to the chapel, where fans had already lined up to pay their respects, at 9:35 AM EST, according to E! Online.

Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina entered the church, where Mary J. Blige, Jordin Sparks, Jesse Jackson and Reverend Al Sharpton were also seen, just as her mother’s service began at 12:16 p.m. PST.

While Aretha Franklin was meant to sing at the funeral, Alicia Keys took the honor instead with tears streaming down her face as she began to sing "Send Me An Angel" after a heartfelt speech from Kevin Costner.

OK! NEWS: WHITNEY HOUSTON IS DEAD AT 48

The memorial began at 12:20 PM EST as the mayor of Newark said, “May we understand that while we weep now, weeping may endure through the night, but joy—joy cometh in the morning.” 

Whitney was tragically found dead in her Beverly Hilton Hotel room on Feb. 11 around 3:30 p.m. PST.
