After weeks of speculation about who would replace outgoing The View co-hosts Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd, ABC has finally made an announcement about at least one new host: Rosie O'Donnell.

Rosie was a co-host on The View for just a year, in the 2006-2007 season. She frequently ignited controversy in her role, from using racially insensitive language, to fighting with conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck about politics. Maybe some controversy is just what the show needs!
