An attorney for 50 Cent spoke out regarding the incident, "At the time the suspects were in the unit, police drove by but did not realize the individuals were still inside. The entire matter was caught on surveillance cameras".

According to court documents, the men broke into the Grammy Award winning artist's building on January 16, 2021. They were able to force their way into the property through a garage door window. The alleged criminals ransacked the home and found an unlocked safe. Inside the safe was a considerable amount of cash and various sorts of expensive diamond jewelry.

While it might have appeared to those involved that they had gotten away with the perfect crime, they were busted six months later thanks to some brilliant police work. The robbers fled the scene in a stolen Toyota. The police recovered the stolen vehicle near the scene of the crime, and it is that detail that eventually led to their arrests.

The men arrested now face many years behind bars if convicted on all of the charges brought against them. As for the 3 million in stolen valuables, the rapper's lawyers believe that they will recover the entire amount in due time.
