Amanda Bynes Reveals She Is Removing Face Tattoos As She Gears Up For Conservatorship Trial

Amanda Bynes is saying goodbye to her face tattoos.

The former child star, 35, revealed in a Wednesday, March 9, Instagram video that she is currently working on getting her facial art removed before her March 22 hearing where she will fight to end her nine-year-long conservatorship.

"tattoo removal process…," Bynes captioned the video of bringing the camera up to her face to see how the process has been going.

As OK! previously reported, in February The Amanda Show star had filed to end her nearly 9-year-long conservatorship. However unlike Britney Spears — her parents Lynn and Rick Bynes are fully supportive of it.

Bynes legal representative David A. Esquibias revealed that the Hairspray star has maintained a "great, loving relationship" with both of her parents and that they've consistently been "on the same page."

Esquibias noted that her parents have been working alongside her to get her physical and mental health on track so they can work towards their mutual goal of one day ending the legal bind.

"She believes her condition is improved and protection of the court is no longer necessary," the attorney noted of how Bynes feels about her current mental health adding that she has been "putting in the work" to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The Big Fat Liar star had been placed under conservatorship in 2013 prior to Bynes being diagnosed as "bipolar and manic depressive," after many troubling episodes that played out in the public eye.

Bynes has since spent the next several years in and out of mental health facilities and treatment programs for her struggles with addiction while her mom has maintained legal control of the California native's personal, medical and financial decisions.

As she continued to focus on her well-being, the She's The Man actress studied at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising where has been working towards obtaining her Bachelor's degree.
