A Boy!
The biggest announcement so far was the baby’s gender: a boy!
“I was really excited,” Derick said in the big reveal. “As a new dad, to have a firstborn son to be our first child and be the leader of his siblings, it is very special.”
And Healthy!
When Jill and Derick saw the baby in the ultrasound on Saturday, the couple was relieved their prayers had been answered. “I was praying for a big, healthy baby,” Derick said. “And just healthy, healthy,” Jill said.
He’s Big!
Like father like son, the new baby is tall! “He stretched out his legs full length,” Jill said. “He was trying to be like Dad.”“We could have a giant,” she added. “I called Derick’s mom and she was telling me that when Derick was born, he didn’t fit into the newborn clothes and his shoes were a size two.”

His (possible) Birthday!
Jill and Derick also revealed the due date: March 24, 2015!
His Name?
The couple also dished on their plans for naming the baby, and it doesn’t look like this baby will have a “J” name like the Duggar family. “We are not going to do a letter theme,” Jill said. “But we may do some kind of theme, like family names.” But will they stick with “Dilly?” Only time can tell!
His Stuff!
The baby registry is public on Walmart’s website, meaning anyone can peep what’s on Jill and Derick’s wish list or even contribute!

His Siblings?
Well, we don’t know this for sure yet, but it looks like this won’t be the only Dillard baby! On a recent episode of 19 Kids And Counting, Jill admitted she wants to have a large family with Derick, just like the one she grew up in!
