The 2018 Billboard Music Awards left us with some truly incredible moments on Sunday night, as several iconic artists from Ariana Grande to Kelly Clarkson took to the stage and gave us something to chat about for weeks to come.

Ariana Grande opened the BBMA’s with a fiery performance of her new hit “No Tears Left to Cry.”

Kelly, who hosted the 2018 BBMA’s, performed a medley of songs, none of which were her own, including Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” and Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do.” 

She later returned to the stage to perform "Whole Lotta Woman" off her latest effort Meaning of Life.

The Chainsmokers and Halsey paid tribute to the late DJ Avicii, who took his own life back in April. 

The "Paris" duo spoke further about him as they accepted the award for Top Dance/Electronic Artist.

Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato debuted their new duet “Fall in Line.” It’s off XTina’s first effort in six years, Liberation, due June 15th.

The crowds could not stop screaming as boy band BTS won the award for Top Social Artist for the 2nd year in a row. They debuted their new song "Fake Love" on stage later on in the evening.

Multiple 2018 BBMA winner Ed Sheeran was not present for the actual ceremony but still took to the stage elsewhere as he performed his hit “Galway Girl” in Ireland.

Jennifer Lopez was flanked by a ton of money and dancers as she debuted her brand new song “Dinero” with the one and only DJ Khaled. BBMA winner Cardi B appeared on the background screen as the “Bodak Yellow” rapper was not in attendance.

Khalid and Shawn Mendes returned to the stage for a powerful rendition of their song “Youth” surrounded by members of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Show Choir.

Top Female Country Artist Maren Morris joined Zedd & Grey on stage to perform their hit “The Middle” which hit the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 last week.

Bruno Mars introduced Billboard Icon Winner Janet Jackson. They first showed a montage of her unbelievable career, from her beginnings on television through her four decades of amazing music that she put out. She is the first black woman to receive this honor in the history of the BBMA's.

Janet then performed an amazing rendition of some of her hits, including “Nasty”, “If” and “Throb.” After that, Bruno presented her with the Icon Award, where she said “I am deeply humbled and grateful for this award.” She also spoke out about the #metoo movement during her acceptance speech, saying “It’s a moment when at long last women have made it clear that we will no longer be controlled, manipulated, or abused.”

Camila Cabello performed two songs at the BBMA’s, including her number one hit “Havana” as well as her duet with Pharrell Williams called “Sangria Wine.”
