Here Are The 2020 Golden Globe Nominations!

Award show season is around the corner and it will kick off with the 2020 Golden Globes on January 5. The much-anticipated nominations were announced on December 9 by stars Tim Allen, Dakota Fanning and Susan Kelechi Watson. Funnyman Ricky Gervais is set to host the annual ceremony live from the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. And of course the nominations always come with a few snubs. Check out the full list of nominations below!

Sacha Baron Cohen was nominated for Best Actor in a Limited-Series or TV Movie for The Spy alongside Christopher Abbott, Russell CroweJared Harris and Sam Rockwell.

Dame Helen Mirren was nominated for Best Actress in a Limited-Series or TV Movie for her role in Catherine the Great alongside Kaitlyn DeverJoey KingMerritt Wever, and Michelle Williams.

Awkawina's film, The Farewell, was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film alongside Les Misérables, Pain and Glory, Parasite and Portrait of a Lady on Fire.

Netflix dominated the Best Motion Picture – Drama category with the films, The Irishman, Marriage Story and The Two Popes1917 and the Joker are also in the running.

Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy will be awarded to Netflix's Dolemite Is My Name, Jojo Rabbit, Knives Out, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood or Rocketman.

Daniel Craig is nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his role in the film, Knives Out alongside Roman Griffin Davis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Taron Egerton and Eddie Murphy.

Women took over film with their amazing comedic roles, but only one will win Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. The nominees include Ana de ArmasAwkwafina, Cate BlanchettBeanie Feldstein and Emma Thompson.

As expected, Jennifer Lopez scored a nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for her role in Hustlers. Other actresses who were also got a nomination include Kathy Bates, Annette Bening, Laura Dern and Margot Robbie.

Disney dominated the category for Best Motion Picture – Animated as per usual with their family flicks, Frozen 2, The Lion King andToy Story 4How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and Missing Link were also nominated.

Best Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture will go to Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci in Brad Pitt.

Todd Phillips, Bong Joon-ho, Sam Mendes, Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino will battle it out for the award for Best Director – Motion Picture. Filmmakers Noah Baumbach, Bong Joon-ho, Han Jin-won, Anthony McCarten, Quentin Tarantino and Steven Zaillian also scored nominations for Best Screenplay – Motion Picture

Music made these films great and earned a nomination for Best Original Score – Motion Picture. Little Women, Joker, Marriage Story, 1917 and Motherless Brooklyn are all in the running.

Olivia Colman's turn as Queen Elizabeth's II in The Crown earned her a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama alongside Jennifer Aniston, Jodie Comer, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon.

Best Television Series – Drama will be awarded to either Big Little Lies, The Crown, Killing Eve, The Morning Show, or Succession.

The Crown also earned star Tobias Menzies a nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama. Other stars who scored nods include Brian CoxKit HaringtonRami Malek and Billy Porter.

Christina Applegate, Rachel Brosnahan, Kirsten Dunst, Natasha Lyonne and Phoebe Waller-Bridge wowed fans with their TV talents and all won nominations for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy. TV shows like Barry, Fleabag, The Kominsky Method, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and The Politician made viewers laugh and they all earned nods for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.

Alan Arkin, Kieran Culkin, Andrew Scott, Stellan Skarsgård and Henry Winkler were all nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

So who was snubbed? Director Greta Gerwig was passed over for her work on her Christmas flick, Little Women. Shia LaBeouf's screenwriting debut in his film, Honey Boy was overlooked. Jennifer's costar in HustlersConstance Wu, failed to score a nomination in any category. Ava DuVernay's innovative Netflix drama series, When They See Us, was excluded from the 2020 list. Zendaya's role in HBO's Euphoria made fans fall in love with her all over again but she was shut out from any Golden Globe nominations.
