PHOTOS2020 Oscar Snubs: Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce & More Fail To Score Any Nominations
Less than a month before the 92nd Academy Awards are scheduled at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, the nominations were announced. The star-studded award show will air on February 9 and on January 13. actors John Cho and Issa Rae took the stage to announce the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' selections for this year's ceremony. While fan favorite films like The Two Popes, Joker and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood scored nods, several other movies didn't win any nominations.

Women directors were shut out of the Best Directing category. Little Women filmmaker Greta Gerwig, The Farewell’s Lulu Wang and Hustlers’ Lorene Scafaria did not secure any nominations.
Hustlers star and producer Jennifer Lopez got nominations for the Golden Globes and SAG Awards but she failed to receive a nod for Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

Cynthia Erivo wowed fans with her acting and singing skills in the biopic Harriet where she portrayed American icon Harriet Tubman. She received two award nominations; one for Best Actress and one for Best Original Song.
