Regina King broke down crying while accepting Best Supporting Actress for If Beale Street Could Talk. She thanked the late author who inspired the film James Baldwin during part of her speech. "To be standing here, representing one of the greatest artists of all time, James Baldwin, is a little surreal. James Baldwin birthed this baby, nurtured her, surrounded her with so much love and support."
