“Deciding on her name was pretty easy,” John David, 30, said in a video posted on TLC Me. “Abbie said she liked the name Grace and that’s Abbie’s middle name. My mom’s middle name is Annette. Grace Annette sounded like it went together so it was about that easy.”

“It hit her hard, and she was down for probably seven weeks,” John David told Us in October. “She was hospitalized a couple times. We made multiple visits to the ER for dehydration. She couldn’t eat, pretty much, or drink, or anything. So she was actually on IVs and had IVs at home. So that was a pretty scary time.”
