Adriana Lima sent Victoria’s Secret fans into a frenzy on Saturday when the lingerie model vowed to stop taking her clothes off for an “empty cause.” However, it turns out modeling for Victoria's Secret doesn't fall into that "empty cause" category -- the model plans on staying with the line despite her announcement!
“I had received a call for the possibility of filming a sexy video of me to be posted and shared in social media,” she wrote on Instagram. “Even though I have done many of this type, something had changed in me, when a friend approached me to share that she was unhappy with her body, then it made me think.... that everyday in my life, I wake up thinking, how do I look? Was I going to be accepted in my job?”
She added: “And in that moment I realized that majority of woman probably wake up every morning trying to fit in a stereotype that society/socialmedia/fashion etc imposed.... i thought that’s not a way of living and beyond that.... that’s not physically and mentally healthy, so I decided to make that change..... I will not take of my clothes anymore for a empty cause.....?✨ #Embraceyouself #natureisbeautiful #naturalissexy #LOVEYOU ?✨”
Fans were quick to comment their concern for Adriana’s future with the VS brand, which she’s been a part of for nearly 20 years.

However, a source claims their worriedness was in vain, as the model is not planning on hanging up her VS angel wings anytime soon. According to reports, the Veteran angel was only referencing the specific video shoot she mentioned in her IG post as an “empty cause.”
Adriana just came off of her 18th VS fashion show last month. She previously told People she’d like to walk for the lingerie line until her 20th show.
