After twenty years together, including eight years of dating and almost eleven years of marriage, Alicia Silverstone has officially filed for divorce from her husband Christopher Jarecki.
Word first got out back in February that the couple was splitting up according to a statement released by her rep. They have one child together: a 7-year-old son named Bear Blu.
“They still deeply love and respect each other and remain close friends but have mutually decided to separate after being together for 20 years,” the rep shared. "They have a son together who they will continue to co-parent.”
The Clueless actress filed for divorce from Chris three months after it was revealed that they were splitting, according to documents obtained by The Blast.
The documents show that the reason for their divorce was irreconcilable differences and that their official date of separation was actually way back on March 15th, 2016, just before their eleven year wedding anniversary (they got married in June 2005).
She’s requesting both joint legal and physical custody of their son Bear as well. Story developing…
